The Tweed:

The fishing will be on the middle and upper beats of theTweed. Tim is a highly qualified casting instructor and fly fisherman with over twenty-five years salmon fishing experience. Tim will be on hand to teach the use of a double-handed rod, spey casting, roll casting and advanced techniques for the experienced fisherman.

Tackle:

Fishing at this time of the year is by fly only and it is recommended that you bring a 15’ rod as well as chestwaders. A selection of tubes, waddingtons and doubles & trebles would also be useful. The wading on this beat is good, but bring a wading stick if you prefer to use one. It is also advisable to ing a thermos flask.

Accomodation:

You will be staying at the Tontine Hotel in Peebles. This charming hotel, with its comfortable en-suite rooms, is situated in the town’s High Street and has a private carpark. The Tontine is a short drive from the River Tweed.

Private Beats on The Tweed:

Three private beats of the Tweed between Clovefords and Innerleithen. Tuiton in spey casting will be available throughout the week. The Wading is good on most of the beats and excellent catches have been had over the years we have run these trips.Sandwich Lunch will be provided on the beats, there will be a qualifified instructor on each the beats to help and Gide you . Each member of the Party will recieve a complimentry box of flies suitable the Tweed at that time of year

Accomodation:

We will be staying at the 3 star TONTINE Hotel in Peebles on a Dinner B&B basis inclded in the price. All you have to pay at the end of the week is your Bar Bill and any extras you may have purchased

Based on the River Tweed in the Borders of Scotland 1 hours drive from Edinbugh airport. Staying either Selkik Kelso or Peebles delightful Scottish Border towns. Non fishing partners welcome. Please enquire about acommodation costs.
